How To Take Part

Ten years ago John Kirkpatrick & Karen Tweed created for us 15 new country dances and tunes called The Severn Suite. The whole piece was played by John and Karen with an improvised band and danced in public by a team of volunteer dancers on a hot sticky evening in June 2006.

This year we are re-creating the piece and will be welcoming back many of those who danced it for the first time, but also new volunteers who'd like to have a go at this collection of intriguing and exhiliarating dances. And this time we'll also invite you to have a go at the tunes.

If your thing is coming to watch then you won't be left out, so add your name to the list and you can watch our ideas unfold. It will also entitle you to priority booking when the tickets do go on sale.

The Event

This is in preparation for a performance on Saturday October 29th at Llandinam Village Hall SY17 5BY. The evening will feature concert spots from John Kirkpatrick and Karen Tweed a performance of The Severn Suite and finish with a short ceilidh. Other rehearsals are planned. You don't have to attend all of them to take part, nor do you have to dance all the dances.
